Always half full, maybe I'm genetically pre-dispositioned to be optimistic, because I've never been able to shake it. I believe there's a lot of horrible stuff in the world, but also a tremendous amount of wonderful and we just miss a lot of it.
It looks like it is half a glass of champagne or white wine. Looks good to me. Dang it, I cannot have any due to those stinking pain pills right now. Well, actually I rarely drink, even if I wasn't on the pills. But I do like to have a cup of champagne every few years, or a glass of white wine. Either one works.
It also looks like one person might be playing the piano and another person standing there drinking and listening. A private party of two. Sounds good to me. Is romance in the air there. Music, love, what else can one ask for.
Very nice picture. Is that your piano? It's very nice.I love pianos since always, they are special, they have a soul,I will buy one one day, even though don't know how to play well but I think a piano is just beautiful and when I'll have the place I'll buy one,an ancient one.My friend is playing piano and I just would like to be near her at the moment to listen to her! My!That post was about glass, lol,I talk too much,we should see the glass half full instead of half empty, yeah.sometimes I see it half full, sometimes half empty a bit like Ronda, lol. :)
This is my piano- a 1936 Steinway, made with real ivory keys, and real ebony. Real ivory is no longer used because it took 5 elephants dying to make one keyboard. There is nothing like the feel of ivory under your fingers. The cabinet will someday need to be refinished. There is a lot of webbing and cracking in the ancient laquer that they used. but I love this instrument-it has a tone like dark chocolate.
How do I see things? WHY OH WHY is there liquid on the piano!?!?
ReplyDeleteBut if it were on, say, the table, it looks more than half full to me.
I used to say I was a half a glass type of girl, but really I'm a half mostly full type of girl. Never thought about a piano though.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the beverage. If it is wine, I'll lament that it is half empty. If it is prune juice, half full.

Great post. Made us think. Thanks.
I want to strike a chord on the piano, and then put my ear to the glass and see if I can hear an echo.
ReplyDeleteOh wait, you asked how we see things, not how we want things. I get the two mixed up, sometimes...
