Rainy days and Mondays got him down? Remembering the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz, "Then they threw my arms over there, and my hat over there, and my eyes are down there!" Or the gingerbread boy from Shrek, "Noooo, not my buttons, not my beautiful (gumdrop) buttons!"
Feel like having a meltdown today too!
ReplyDeleteI've been playing my very old but sturdy upright for many years now. Mainly for my own enjoyment and sometimes for others. What I have never been very good at accomplishing is playing without music. I simply attribute it to my very short memory, which seems to get shorter with each new day. I get rather depressed when I watch others sit down and just play and play without a stanza in front of them. I do enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Tamara for your kind words. I think very little of memorizing as an adult. Chin up, ok? Preachers use notes, public speakers use powerpoint, consider your music your joy. Perhaps if you need another thought, they play without music because they are poor readers?
ReplyDeleteThe "Sun" did it.
ReplyDeleteAfter five days of rain here in Sunny Southern California, we finally have sunlight again. But we were so blessed with the rain to help refill our lakes and water tables during our long drought that we cannot complain.
I am so sorry Frosty melted and is now gone, but this might be a sign that spring is coming soon.
