I remember the days when Latin could be taken in highschool! We are seeing the dumbing down of our education, and, our culture. So Obama is about to spend big-time on education. Will it reach this problem? At least a college education in this country is still the envy of the world. thankgoodness!StimmeDesHerzenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15084934926989805342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2275507244877401938.post-30951522429152222492009-03-12T17:41:00.000-05:002009-03-12T17:41:00.000-05:00Interesting post and I completely agree about the ...Interesting post and I completely agree about the benefit of music. It's really important,it plays a big part into the well being of our kids and everyone actually.Candiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09820349874923006162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2275507244877401938.post-91174274077885072082009-03-12T17:30:00.000-05:002009-03-12T17:30:00.000-05:00Chris, nice spin on the theme. And yes, I saw that music students are smarter, not sure why. I sure do hope that they keep music in the curriculum. Such a sad loss of possible talent if it is lost. I live here in central california, and it seems art and music will be completely cut out of the highschool curriculum (in how many high-schools, not known as of yet.) What I DO know is that French has already been cut out of my daughter's highschool. It is incredibly tragic. With my daughter applying for colleges next year, your note is a timely reminder regarding the application process.StimmeDesHerzenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15084934926989805342noreply@blogger.com
